National Day of Unplugging

Challenge: For More than 10 years, the National Day of Unplugging (NDU) has been inspiring people to turn off their phones for a day in order to spend more time with family and friends, face to face. We needed to revitalize the campaign for the modern person.

Solution: Reaching people where they were at, my work consisted of elevating and refreshing the NDU by leading the design and copy for the new website, managing a national partnership with Brooklyn Boulders for an unplug and climb day, and leading our social and email marketing campaigns.

Key Results:

  • A brand new website featuring SEO optimized metadata and keywords, responsive design for mobile and improved conversion journeys, contributing to a A 246% and 44% increase in in-person national events and individual participants over 2018, respectively.

  • Content partnerships with Virgin/Richard Branson and interactions from leading brands resulting in a 200% increase in engagement from previous years.

  • A 156% and 432% increase in digital participants and national events since 2016.

I AM ALS – Why I FIGHT

Challenge: Every 90 minutes, someone is diagnosed with ALS while someone dies from it. I AM ALS wanted to spread awareness about one of the deadliest diseases we’re not talking about.

Solution: We rallied the people affected across the country and put their stories front and center, having them share #WhyIFight across social - in their own words. This user generated campaign led to a 136% increase in unique individuals discussing ALS and posts/videos from across the country.

Challenge: FIS, one of the world’s largest fintechs, needed to support their community banking business, creating awareness of their offerings and commitments to smaller finance organizations.

Solution: Cognito Media led the creation of FIS’ first community banking podcast – Banking Local. My work consisted of sourcing, liaising and confirming the show’s guests, writing the episode briefs and scripts, coordinating with our production partners and creating a post-production promotion plan.

Puzel

Challenge: One of the most difficult tasks for a business is to simply get the attention of potential consumers. Businesses were struggling to make it worth people’s time.

Solution: Puzel was an interactive “crowd-reward” platform allowing businesses to communicate with customers to share incentives and promotions. In order to inspire participation, a group of people would only get a reward (gift card or Product) if a set amount of people complete an interactive exercise. Once the exercise is completed, all participants get a reward, and businesses have (consensual) access to information to grow their lists.

Reboot Shop

Challenge: As an organization spearheading cultural, artistic and technological innovations in Jewish culture, Reboot had access to a vault of materials, art and products by Jewish creators, without a way to share it as a way to support Reboot.

Solution: Reboot Shop became Reboot’s first e-commerce project, allowing people to purchase products to support Reboot as a non-profit. I managed the execution of the Shopify site including setting concept direction, writing product descriptions and UX copy, and liaising with third-party developers.
