Website

National Day of Unplugging

The National Day of Unplugging was in need of a refreshed website from the original Wordpress site built in 2009. I led the charge of building a new site that represented the updated program, with a step forward in the smartphone age. In order to do that, I focused on the following:

  • Updating the old, paragraph-heavy copy to succinct, straight-forward yet illustrative copy that directed visitors to resources and sign up forms.

  • Introducing bespoke graphic elements to guide visitors through the site, shifting towards a “show, don’t tell” UX approach.

  • Simplifying the sign up process, creating new paths for visitors based on individual, family, community or corporate participation.

  • Ensuring that the site and copy was responsive and adaptive to multiple devices.


Reboot Shop

Reboot Shop is Reboot’s first e-commerce site. Its mandate is to serve as a source of funding for Reboot’s non-profit activities. I oversaw the creation of the site, focusing on:

  • Conceptualizing the user journey through the site, creating an experience that led people through products by their intention – listen, read, watch, play, nosh or unwind.

  • Writing page and product descriptions.

  • Cultivating product partnerships with artists and companies like Fishs Eddy to create unique items exclusive to the site.


Digital and Paid Social

FIS - Banking Local Podcast

As one of the world’s largest fintechs, FIS wanted to double down on its commitment to smaller, community finance organizations. Banking Local is a podcast dedicated to highlighting the role that community banks have in their neighborhoods. As a production partner of the show, my writing role involved leading the creation of talking points and the script for each episode, including host intros, outros and discussion guides.

In an effort to grow the content backlog of StarTalk, I was tasked with managing “Cosmic Minutes.” This included sourcing specific clips from episodes, editing them and writing copy for social promotion in an effort to drive people to listen to full episodes.
